When you think about it, new sales people today are incredibly fortunate. They get so much more training, documentation, information on best sales practices, and internal support than their predecessors, who often had to find their own way – usually, the hard way.
But even with all the resources available to them, I’m seeing something strange happen: Many are making the same bad mistakes as those who came before them. I’m talking about those who are all about talking features and functions, and certainly not aligned with today’s sophisticated buyers.
